CONTENT WARNING

The Ashrivers projects are works of mature dark fantasy intended for adult readers. Across both narratives, readers may encounter graphic fantasy violence; blood, gore, mutilation, torture, executions, warfare, massacre, death, and disturbing injuries; slavery, trafficking, captivity, imprisonment, and the abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of children and other vulnerable persons; psychological abuse, coercive control, indoctrination, mind control, memory manipulation, nightmares, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress, and other depictions of severe trauma; grief, bereavement, self-injury, suicidal themes, and mental-health crises; body horror, magical alteration, undeath, corruption, possession, cultic and infernal imagery, and cosmic horror; harm to animals and fantastical creatures; and detailed reproductive and medical material, including pregnancy, childbirth, lactation, surgical intervention, hemorrhage, and threats to the lives of a mother and child. The narratives also contain adult romantic and sexual themes, complicated family relationships, moral injury, institutional cruelty, religious and political extremism, and the lasting consequences of abuse and violence.

These subjects appear within stories centered upon survival, chosen family, accountability, recovery, restorative justice, and the endurance of love after trauma. Nevertheless, some scenes are emotionally intense, psychologically distressing, or graphically described. The nature and severity of the material vary throughout both projects, and this notice cannot anticipate every individual sensitivity. Reader discretion is strongly advised.
